Remote HTTPS
Slack
Slack's official remote MCP server. An admin has to approve the app; a pasted bot token is not the setup.
Connect to https://mcp.slack.com/mcp. Slack requires OAuth via a registered app, and a workspace admin has to allow it. Only directory-published apps or internal apps can use it. Partner clients include Cursor, Claude, and a short list Slack publishes in the docs.
The reference Slack server in modelcontextprotocol/servers-archived is not this product. Do not install a random slack-mcp package in its place.
Setup snippet
{
"mcpServers": {
"slack": {
"url": "https://mcp.slack.com/mcp"
}
}
}Client config shape varies. Cursor and Claude Desktop use mcpServers. VS Code often uses servers. The values above are the part that matters.
